Mid-summer denim vest with Rebecca Minkoff

Happy last day of July. The older I get I swear the time goes by quicker! Okay, that is as much "venting" as I will be doing. So, where did July go? For me, it was filled with 1. FIFA 2. Tour De France 3. Boba tea with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (from The Little Boba Truck) and 4. Wear skirts, dresses and sandals. Can't complain eh? I am looking forward to August when there is no table-tennis tournament so I can really relax and enjoy summer a little bit.
One little note about this outfit: originally I did not have the denim vest on. Right before I was about to leave the house, I turned on Instagram and saw one of my friends Aggieinsta (you should check out her awesome pictures though! The chicest teacher in Chicago) rocking her many denim vest looks. That is when I decided to "steal" her look for my outfit today!
One of the best things about blogging and Instagram is the opportunity of making many new "friends". I have really been enjoying it and I hope we get to speak or meet in person one day.

Summer colours with pastel necklace

Hi everyone, I know I have been really terrible about keeping up with  my posting. Work has been really busy and so is life in general. The weather also have been warm (duh, it's SUMMER) and all one wants to do is relax with a cold drink and wearing casual comfy things. Ok, I know these are such bad excuses, but honestly I have just been busy and occupied!
Today's post is dedicated to my friend Helen from back home in New Zealand. I "met" Helen through Instagram and besides being both Kiwis (New Zealanders), we also bond over our love with handbags (specifically Rebecca Minkoff). One day, we decided to send a care-package to each other. I had mentioned to her one thing I miss the most from New Zealand is Cookie Time. Cookies in America are soft like cakes. Back in New Zealand, cookies are hard, crunchy and oh so yummy. Growing up there I developed a "love" with the Cookie Time. It is basically a chocolate chip extra large cookie. I would treat myself as an after exam snack and since locating to America I have been missing it severely! Anyway, amongst all the goodies Helen sent me (you can see all the goodies from her on my Instagram), she included this gorgeous pastel necklace. I want to show you how beautiful this necklace is and THANK YOU, dear Helen. Your warmth, kindness and friendship is something I would forever treasure :)

Curtain skirt.....but I love it

When this trend first came out, I fell instantly in love with it. The sheer layering of the fabric...you can kind of see through but then you kind of can't! I was waiting for a more affordable version to come out before diving into this trend. Leave it to ASOS to create a version an average girl like myself can have! Here I present you, my "curtain" skirt (that is what my fashionable mother called it when she saw it haha).
Summer is all about dressing comfy! I love wearing mint accessories and happily found my Stella and Dot earrings match with my Rebecca Minkoff bag! Mint everything! Now I just need to get myself some mint chocolate chip ice cream for the afternoon :p
One more new thing about this outfit, my new Sam Edelman sandals. I love a pair of nude sandals, they elongate your legs. I have always been a big fan of his shoes, this pair however, require some more break-in to. No worries, I am sure they will soften up nicely real soon!

Happy Fourth of July America

For those of you who live in America, this week is a big week being the nation's holiday! We took a stroll one afternoon near the Oregon Historical Museum. We plan on actually going inside in the next few days (we went in a hour before closing) to learn about the the state we have been living in. So, enjoy the warm summer weather, outdoor activities and/or those delicious BBQ you are firing up! Have loads of fun and stay safe :)
