Rewind to a year and half ago when I first started seeing the famous
Isabel Marrant Dicker booties showing up everyone on fashion bloggers. The trend spread like wild fire and before I had time to find out all about it, the style literately were sold out everywhere. Now come to think of it, it probably wasn't a bad thing. Afterall, a clumsy person such as myself can't really afford to trip and knock on things when my shoes were $600 a pair, right? I determined to find look-alike version but with a much smaller price tag. Last year, I found the
DV by Dolce Vita version (similar style
here) and bought them at full price from Nordstrom. Later that season I scored the same shoes in bright orange as seen
here (I never bought shoes in the same styles, ever).
I have practically ran the original DV booties to the ground (first seen
here). The heels are all peeled and the soles are just about ruined. I did once again consider getting the real thing this season but just could not pull the trigger on spending that much on a pair of shoes. One night I was switching channels and saw this
Vince Camuto pairs on the
Home Shopping Network as a Today's Special. The free shipping and the four flex-payment got me. I thought I'd try them and, to my surprise, they are relatively comfortable! :)
Wearing cropped light jacket and probably the last few times a pair of denim shorts before colder temperatrue setting in.
Vince Camuto (my is in cognac
here),
American Eagle white denim shorts and
Givenchy small
Antigona bag (similar in green
here)
Hope the rest of your week is going well! Thanks for reading!
