Orange is the new black

When you browse at most bloggers' posts, we are seeing pastels, bright citrus and lots of fruity colours everywhere. This is when you know spring is in full bloom. Trust me, I wish my closet is filled with those colourful outfits as well. Being a somewhat "practical" person however, most of the pieces I own are geared towards fall, winter and a little bit summer. I honestly do not own many "spring" appropriate outfits. So what's a girl to do? How about we mix things together and act like I don't care? lol
Honestly, I stopped caring what is "in" and what is "out" a while ago. After-all, we are not here to please everyone but ourselves. I believe if you truly feel good about yourself, it will show no matter what you are wearing! So here is me today, on a rather warm spring Monday, wearing the new black (orange) with an old black (well, black). I hope you like it as much as I do :)

Stella and Dot phoenix pendent, Uniqlo long sleeved T,Sam Edelman Petty booties, Balenciaga City bag in anthracite, Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss (60, love this one), and the rest of the outfit is from overseas
Have a great rest of the week! Thanks for stopping by :)

My wardrobe consist of clothing for each season but I try to mix them together to create layers depending on our weather. You know how it is. ;)

Such a nice skirt! :) I love the orange - and my sister loves the giraffes haha! ;)

Pleased orange is "in" as I've been wearing my rouille work all week, with no plans to swap it out just yet. I can say I'm being trendy ;) hehe! You are right, as long as we are happy with what we wear, nothing else matters! :)

Same here, I don't own much springy outfits either & I need to agree w/ u a whole lot on not caring anymore with the trend. If I like it then that's all that matters ;) The frills & button are sweet details on the jacket & love the skirt & bag!

I couldn't agree more! Yes it's fun following trends but what's the point if certain 'it' colours look awful with your complexion or worst yet, you lose your identity with it!

Lovely bold skirt! Yes, it's best to just follow what makes you feel good, instead of what's always "in," or "out." That's what I do! :)
Have a great weekend.
