Sorbet spring

It has been a long while since I found anything at H&M. Everytime I see other bloggers blog about their finds at H&M, I always thought "why couldn't I ever find anything I like there?". Well, finally this past weekend I managed to score this beautiful peach-sorbet like knit top at the clearance section. I'd think most people would wear this type of knit wear over-size but instead I chose to wear it more fitted (chose XS insted of S). I can wear a long sleeved T underneath in early spring then change to a strapless top when summer approaches (Pacific Northwest is always cold for me). Keeping the rest of the outfit simple...I unintentionally worn colour matching sunnies and pearl earrings (get them here). Opps, I did it again :)

Black and white

When I decided so invest in the small Givenchy Antigona bag, I told myself, "I shall wear this bag til death" and I am doing that! Black and white is the most simple colour pairing yet it is one of the most classics. I am so happy to be wearing much lighter blazer nowadays. Blazer is one of my best friends in my wardrobe. I will slowly show you in the upcoming warmer months what other blazers I own. I think I may even add more too. My go-to blazer style is, cropped slightly around the waist as well as the sleeves. Boyfriend  style (loose and long) blazers look great on others but do not work on my "curvey" frame.

By the way, I will be posting a bit less frequently in the next couple of weeks due to my upcoming overseas trip. Stay with me, will ya? :)

Vintage

Trying something new today...found an big old tree in the local park and decided to shot everything in "retro" setting. It is actually warm today with the sun blessing upon us. Maybe my ghost-like pale skin will get a little bit less reflective after my outing. I swear, I am the whitest asian around...... I wonder if I can blend in with the rest of the Cullens' clan (not a bad thing hehe). Random thoughts, my roots are in dire need for a touch up. Thank god I am going in for my appointment in a week, phew!! Sorry for my superficial moment lol. Let me know if you like this retro setting :)

Mixing directions

If you told me a few years ago to wear different textures all in one outfit, I would certainly shake my head and decline. Look what I am doing now :)
I hope I am not making you dizzy with this outfit (I do realise I have horizontal, vertical AND geometric shapes all over my body), but if you do, please scroll down quickly. Hey, rules are meant to be broken especially fashion rules, right? I am still in the phase of loving fancy tights (see this post also). Give them a try, the right pattern will elongate and slim your legs in all the right way!

I have yet another overseas trip to make in a couple of weeks (love seeing mum and dad). I will try to do as many outfit posts before I go to keep you occupied. Please do check out my Instagram (kiwifashionblog) and follow me :)

Givenchy small Antigona

If you follow me on Instagram (kiwifashionblog), you probaly already seen a couple of pictures of my newest investment piece in my handbag collection, the all mighty black Givenchy Antigona in small size with silver hardware. For those of you who did not know (like myself before the search began), this bag is rarer than the Bigfoot! Antigona bags are already rare in general and if you are lucky enough to find one, they are mostly in the medium size. I am not tall and I do not lug around my life around on a daily basis so after seeing how big the medium size is in real life, I am convinced that while I NEED this bag, I must find it in the small size.
My first time actually seeing this bag in action is from the one and only Song of Style except hers is a dark navy and probably was given to her. As I gone deeper in the searching process, I realised two things, one, it takes some saving and two, it takes alot of time and patience to locate this beauty.
Long story short, after 6-7 months of saving and searching and selling two bags, I finally found one from my online go-to handbag site,  Hgbagsonline (Erica, you are awseome).
Well I will let the pictures do the talking. It is a timeless, classic, elegant and practical bag in my opinion. The strap is the perfect shoulder length and everything is made with impeccable craftsmanship. Oh, Givenchy, how I love you :)

Skirt given from mum (last seen here), top by Levi's, tight byAnna SuiYSL Arty ring and cap-toe flats are by Dolce Vita (love this one).
Ok, are you a Antigona lover yet? :)

Hello March

Can you believe it? It is March already, time goes by way too quickly these days. Where did the time go? I "accidentaly" got a day off in the middle of the week (just happened that all the appointments got moved to another day) so we enjoyed a nice walk outdoor near the waterfront park. Do not to fooled by the sunshine, it is still very cold but at least I could briefly take off my coat for a few mintues :)
Spring is right around the corner. I have complained enough about not having anything to wear so I think I will start my search for some good spring pieces soon! Are you excited about all the upcoming colours?
