Rebecca Minkoff espadrilles

Hello everyone! Happy beginning of the week to you all! After a few of more dressed up posts, I decide to go super casual today. I have been buying Rebecca Minkoff handbags for a few years now and I had never tried anything else that's made by her before. So when Shopbop had their Friends and Family sale recently I decided to snag a pair of RM shoes to try out. Unfortunately the weather decide to throw a tantrum and surprise us with a thunder storm follow by some crazy hail (yes, hail!). I am determined to try out these espadrilles no matter what. This is my first pair of espadrilles and I am really liking them! I can't wait until the weather turns warmer so I can start wearing them more often! I may want to add another pair also, who knows? This may be the start of a beautiful new relationship :)

I love skirts and I can't lie

Hello everyone, hope you all had a good Easter weekend for those of you who celebrated it. Growing up in New Zealand and Australia, we always had long Easter weekend break at school and work. It usually begin on Good Friday and runs through Monday. It is a great time to have some days off as it usually is in between terms in school. This is one of the things I miss since moving to America. Ok enough complaining! One thing I can not complain is the gradually warming weather. I kid you not, I am probably the only one in this entire downtown area who is wearing a coat and tight. Be patient, my legs will eventually show themselves! I am always on the colder side. I blame my slow metabolism!

Since I do not own any pastel colours to wear for Easter, I thought I would pile on a bunch of yellows and show you my newest skirt purchase from Shopbop. I truly love this skirt as it hits me right above the knee to conceal what needs to be conceal and the colours can be easily worked into what I already wear normally! Gotta love Shopbop! Fast delivery, beautiful packaging and quality merchandise (no, it is not a sponsored post, ha I wish)!

Thank you so much for being understanding and patient as I work through this phase of "blog creativity challenge". And as always thanks for reading :)

Pink and purple Proenza Schouler

Happy Monday everyone. I have not been posting as often this past week due to the well-known "blogger's block". Well, it is pretty self explanatory, isn't it? I have been uninspired and just not been able to create interesting outfits out of what are sitting in my closet. I did mention in my last post that I do not follow trend all that much. With all the spring pastels appearing everywhere, I feel a bit "inappropriate" to still be wearing heavy winter colours and clothing. I hope I can snap out of my blockage and get out of this phase real soon! After all, I do enjoy reading comments and suggestions from all of you guys. I am still very active on Instagram (follow me here) and browsing on Bloglovin (find me here). Fingers crossed that I will be back to my twice a week posting again and thanks so much for spending your time reading and commenting! Love you all <3

Orange is the new black

When you browse at most bloggers' posts, we are seeing pastels, bright citrus and lots of fruity colours everywhere. This is when you know spring is in full bloom. Trust me, I wish my closet is filled with those colourful outfits as well. Being a somewhat "practical" person however, most of the pieces I own are geared towards fall, winter and a little bit summer. I honestly do not own many "spring" appropriate outfits. So what's a girl to do? How about we mix things together and act like I don't care? lol
Honestly, I stopped caring what is "in" and what is "out" a while ago. After-all, we are not here to please everyone but ourselves. I believe if you truly feel good about yourself, it will show no matter what you are wearing! So here is me today, on a rather warm spring Monday, wearing the new black (orange) with an old black (well, black). I hope you like it as much as I do :)

Stella and Dot phoenix pendent, Uniqlo long sleeved T,Sam Edelman Petty booties, Balenciaga City bag in anthracite, Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss (60, love this one), and the rest of the outfit is from overseas
Have a great rest of the week! Thanks for stopping by :)

Playing with fishnet tight

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful week! I know the colours I decided to use in this outfit probably speaks more of an autumn/fall ish vibe rather than spring. Well, truth is, it is still cold!! As much as I would love to start going bare legs and open toes shoes, I think I need to wait for a couple more months. Besides, back home in New Zealand and Australia (as well as the rest of southern hemisphere), it is autumn! How appropriate!
It is however warm enough to start wearing thinner tight, like a fishnet! I was never into fishnet tight. The main reason being I am not very confident with my athletic legs and knowing that fishnet probably will not compliment them, I steered away from them in the past. However I learnt that with the right colour and pattern, fishnet can be flattering too! I also love how this pair has great elasticity and very comfortable!I am excited to add more into my growing tights collection! When it does get warm enough, I want to start wearing knee-high socks again! Have you tried something new recently (fashion wise)? Share your story with me!

Balenciaga moto jacke (I got my from Erica at Hgbagsonline), Levi's stripped top, Dolce Vita snakeskin embossed flats, No Nonsese fishnet tight (c/o, get it here), Givenchy small Antigona bag, Samatha Thavasa bag charm (love this one), Honora pearl studs (here)and Sama sunglassess
