Changing colours

Living in the Pacific North West has been spoiling me of forgetting how beautiful of an environment I am constantly being surrounded by. I took a stroll during lunchtime at the small park nearby work. Saw a couple excitedly taking pictures of the leaves using their phone. I said "pretty colours eh?" They responded "oh my god, YES. We are from Florida and we have never seen trees with this colour!" I smiled and walked away. I really need to slow down and appreciate what is around me sometimes. Mother nature created so many beautiful things for us to enjoy and often we forgot to do so. My day had suddenly became more fulfilling and I went back to work with a smile on my face :)

New favourite jeans

Something about downtown Portland I love is unexpected beautiful little corners. I can't believe I had missed this beautiful door in the past but I am glad that I found it. I love the colour brick. It just brighten everything up so nicely. I want to tell you about my new favoutite pairs of jeans. I bought these on a super sale earlier this year from MyHabit, had them altered but never had a chance to wear them because the weather turned warm. Well, I am so glad it is cool enough now to wear them again. The print looks amazing in pictures especially under the sunlight. It gives you the illusion as velvet texture but they are spandex cotton material and are very fitted to my curvy thighs.
Often in the winter time I much prefer be wearing jeans because they keep my body snugged and warm. Share with me your new favourite jeans for the season.
Rich and Skinny jeans from MyHabit, Vince Camuto spiked booties (old, but I love these), Iroo moto jacket (last seen here),  Balenciaga City bag and Sama sunglassess.

I am off this week. Catch my newest update through Instagram (kiwifashionblog)

Autumn sun

What do you do when the cloud decides to break up and sun starts to come in? Well, you embrace yourself in it of course! That's exactly what we did today. We decided to take a lunchtime walk. Unfortunately the sun is just too bright and it's causing glare and shadow all over my face. Excuse for the over-exposed sky, it's just way too bright to capture much detail there.
Do you try to catch some fresh air in between work? It is always refreshing to get out of the office in the middle of the d. The best thing about Oregon is the green grass and clear crisp air. I consider myself really lucky this way :)

Fur and plaid

I have been really busy in the past few days as you can tell the lack of my regular post. I started a morning "boot camp" with my table-tennis coach three weeks ago that requires me to wake up at 5:30 in the morning to start training at exactly 6am. The process has been fun and challenging but it is gradually wearing me out a bit. I still have two more weeks left so in the meantime please excuse for my really tired face and slow posting.
One of the best things about cooler temperature is layering. While my hair is a mess here, I do love layering my casual "wood-worker" plaid over-sized shirt with this faux fur vest. I hope you are transitioning into autumn well. Stay updated by checking out my Instagram (kiwifashionblog) for more pictures :)

Levi's plaid oversized shirt (old), 7 For All Mankind coated jeans (love these zippered version here), Sam Edelman Petty booties (here), Rebecca Minkoff leopard Covet bag
Have a blessed week ahead of you guys :) Thanks so much for reading!

Here comes October

It is absolutely one of the worst weather days out shooting (or just being out in general). Not only there is rain, there is also wind and cold air. I apologize for my nearly freezing face but we could only bare a few quick minutes outside before we freeze our bums off.
This is the second leather-like pleated skirt I bought from ASOS. What's great about this skirt is the elastic waist band. I lived in skirts all summer so you have no idea how difficult it is to slip back into my old skinny jeans. Hey, if I can live in skirts all winter, I would! (luckily I own alot of tights too). You can also see me wearing this same plaid jacket last Christmas here, which is also my blog page header illustration (graciously created by my talented brother).
I was recently featured on ASOS Instagram as their choice of Outfit Of the Day (see here) wearing my first piece from them. I am already looking to add more pieces from them since they have great shipping and return policy (free both ways). Have you shopped with ASOS? If so, what is your most recent favourite piece?
