Pleated leather trend

By now I am sure the pleated leather trend has been seen everywhere (I am late again). When it comes to fashion, I am definitely the "play it safe" type. I am not someone who would run out and get the latest, the most trendy pieces as soon as they hit the shelves. I tend to wait, watch and consider then re-consider several times before I "timidly" try one or two pieces myself. This beautiful burgundy faux leather pleated skirt is from ASOS. This is my first time ordering from them and so far so good. I ordered three pieces and ended up returning one and keeping two. I will show you my second piece in my future post. The shipping is fast (considered it's coming from the UK). Let's see if the return process is just as good before I jump on the buying wagon :)
ASOS petite skater pleather skirt in wine (here), H&M blazer (old, scored for $10), DV by Dolce Vita booties (probably my last time wearing them since I ordered a replacement, will show you soon), and Proenza Schouler plum medium bag (I got my from HgBagOnline) and Lindberg sunnies.
Have a wonderful weekend. It's time to bust out my tights as my legs are freezing going bare!

On repeat

In early spring last season, when floral pants were showing up everywhere, I decided to join the trend and bought two pairs myself. (last seen here) The only thing I kind of regret is the fit. These are Korean brand jean-leggings AND (I have to emphasize) probably made for skinny Asian legs so I am having some difficulties fitting my muscular thighs in comfortablely. Since I will be going to Asia next month, it's probably a good time to start reducing the amount of carb in my diet especially into the evening hours. My goal is to loose about 1-2kg (not that much really) around my lower half. Wish me luck :)

My DV by Dolce Vita booties are horribly worn! Time to replace them...it's sad to say goodbye.
A light jacket I wore over the T but decided to shoot mostly without it since it looks better.
Have  blessed week everyone and thanks for reading!

First autumn outfit

I think autumn is officially here. The sky is grey, the air is cool and I can no longer bare my legs or toes in the open (ok I am exaggerating here a little). One of my favourite clothing shops when I visited Asia is Iroo. When they came out of their new autumn look-book, both mum and I fell in love with this outfit. My fashionable mum decided to surprise me and maiedl this entire assemble to me last month. I had to wait until today to wear it. The bi-colour pants really help to slim down my athletic thighs My new booties also came in handy with this outfit.
I am getting my hair done in a week. It is really getting way too long. I think I may make my omber higher. Who says you need to go darker when the weather gets colder? :)

Sweater and pants both from Iroo, Vince Camuto booties from HSN (similar here) and Rebecca Minkoff large Affair bag (medium size one on sale here), YSL Arty ring and Sama sunglassess
I am off to Seattle for a day trip this Sunday (another table-tennis tournament). Have a happy weekend!

Late summer heat

Leave it to Oregon to have a super hot late summer, no, I am not complaining! With fall fashion in almost full swing and the recent New York Fashion Week, I have been too busy drooling over the beautiful outfits that are shown all over the internet. However, I am still enjoying my ice tea, sandals and sleeveless days as we can all smell the arrival of the cooler season just around the corner!
I want to dedicate this post to my friend Mona (Instagram MyBeautifulBag) all the way from Norway. Ever since I started blogging and joining The Purse Forum, I have met some wonderful people all over the world. I am so honoured to have met some of you in person and some we are yet to meet. Mona has impeccable taste and style in handbags and her nail art. I got to know her first from TPF then Instagram then her Etsy shop because she makes beautiful beaded bracelets. I have bought some really cute teddy bear bracelets from her and recently I bought two more to be gifted to my teddy collecting mother. She surprised me with these three neon ones and I was so pleased when I received them.
Mona, you are a beautiful person inside and out. I wish we will get to meet in person one day <3

The cowgirl in me

Rewind to a year and half ago when I first started seeing the famous Isabel Marrant Dicker booties showing up everyone on fashion bloggers. The trend spread like wild fire and before I had time to find out all about it, the style literately were sold out everywhere. Now come to think of it, it probably wasn't a bad thing. Afterall, a clumsy person such as myself can't really afford to trip and knock on things when my shoes were $600 a pair, right? I determined to find look-alike version but with a much smaller price tag. Last year, I found the DV by Dolce Vita version (similar style here) and bought them at full price from Nordstrom. Later that season I scored the same shoes in bright orange as seen here (I never bought shoes in the same styles, ever).
I have practically ran the original DV booties to the ground (first seen here). The heels are all peeled and the soles are just about ruined. I did once again consider getting the real thing this season but just could not pull the trigger on spending that much on a pair of shoes. One night I was switching channels and saw this Vince Camuto pairs on the Home Shopping Network as a Today's Special. The free shipping and the four flex-payment got me. I thought I'd try them and, to my surprise, they are relatively comfortable! :)

Wearing cropped light jacket and probably the last few times a pair of denim shorts before colder temperatrue setting in.
Vince Camuto (my is in cognac here), American Eagle white denim shorts and Givenchy small Antigona bag (similar in green here)
Street vendor bracelets, Stella & Dot Gilded Arrow ring and Tissot watch
Hope the rest of your week is going well! Thanks for reading!

The Grove

For someone like me who does not live in California or even grew up in the US (west coast specifically), I remember the first time I heard about The Grove was from the reality TV show The Hills. C'mon, admit it it, alot of us were obsessed with that show. To me, The Grove seemed to be very hip, posh and very southern Californian! I thought, one day, I want to go visit. Well, over this past weekend I did! Too bad I never ran into any celebrity (at least not that I could see) but I did visit one of the biggest Topshop stores I have ever been. The atmosphere was great. There's outdoor concert as we strolled around and enjoying the cooling temperature and sunset.
I did not end up buying anything (surprise surprise) but we did spend a fair amount of time inside Zara men. Picked out an awesome fall jacket for the guy. It was a wonderful experience together :)

Rebecca Minkoff MAC bag and my trusty Birkenstock sandals for extra comfort :)
Thanks for reading everyone :)

Colour and Birkenstock

Sorry for the lack of post in the past few days. I had been in LA for the LA Table-Tennis Open. These photos were taken prior my long weekend departure. I was still feeling summery and wanted to add colours to my outfit.
Recently, several European bloggers have been switching up their heels for the comfy and laid back Birkenstocks. I have always been a big fan of Birkenstocks (already own two pairs) so I thought I'd try doing it as well. And guess what? I love it haha. I am all about being comfortable. Trust me, if I could wear these to work, I would!!
One good Birkenstock online resources is QVC, this is where I bought both of my Birks from. Check them out, they often have them in various colours and styles on sale :)
Balenciaga anthracite City bag with rose gold hw and Lidberg sunglassess
HRH collection bracelet (here) and Casio Baby-G watch
Happy late September guys! Have a great rest of the week :)
