Yellow Daisy Sunday dress

I feel like dresses are must haves during summer. It is easy to wear (top and bottom always go together), cool (hello, skirts!) and can be dressed up for work and casual for off-duty. One of the best things about wearing a summer dress is the ability to throw on a denim jacket when it gets chilly. I have always loved this combination together. I especially prefer my denim jacket to have a cropped design to give the illusion of elongated legs and shorter torso :)
Some of my friends know that I have been on the hunt for a different denim jacket. I want it to be lighter colour and slightly more distressed. So far, I have found one from TopShop (here, in Mid Denim colour) but I have not pulled the trigger just yet. We are only in the beginning of summer so I want to make sure it is worth the investment (despite it's only $75) before purchasing.
I am currently obsessed with this look. This denim jacket is old from H&M and I found a different wash but of the same cut/design just last week. I hope you don't mind me showing you many of my dresses especially on Instagram. After-all, summer is when you want to be comfortable and stress-free when it comes to dress-up :)
Let me know which is your most favourite denim jacket. I would love to check it out!

H&M denim jacket (old, but exact same style here on sale for $20), Rebecca Minkoff Love crossbody bag in Moon (black version here), Born sandals (old), Daisy dress (gift from mum), Stella and Dot earrings (here, wear them multiple ways) and Lindberg sunnies

Summer straw hat

Summer is definitely here in Portland. While some may be complaining about the heat, I am happy as a clam and fully am embracing it! After all, I have been waiting for this warmer weather for months! I don't normally sport any hair/head accessories so I thought I will show you one of my only three straw hats I own. This hat is purchased two years ago from Goorin Brothers. They have a cool shop here in the 23rd area in downtown Portland. The only problem I have with wearing a hat in the heat is, well the heat! My head will start to get really warm and then I am forced to take it off after a while. Nevertheless, I do love this different look, wearing a hat. The best thing about a wide brim hat is obviously the extra shade it offers. Being in the eye health field, I am really careful about protecting my eyes from the harmful UV ray. I think that is part of the reason you always see me in sunglasses.

These pictures were taken in front of a German restaurant in the Hollywood district. We did not eat in there but just loved the unique architecture of the building. Are you a hat person? How do you style your outfits with your hat(s), winter and/or summer? I would love to hear your thoughts :)

Grooin Brother's hat, Sam Edelman sandals (old, but love this one), Rebecca Minkoff red MAC (black, mini version here), Lindberg sunglasses, Jord Sully wood watch (c/o, get them here)

Have a fabulous Thursday and thanks for reading <3
