I am ready for 2014

Is everyone ready for 2014? For some, 2013 was a good year, and others may not be as great as you had hoped. As I get older, I find that my "want" has changed from more materialistic things to things that hold meaning. I prefer a quite evening at home. I prefer just watching my two chinchillas doing silly things and running around my legs while I try to take decent video of them. I prefer going to the movies on a weekday night when there is only a handful of people in the cinema.
Ok, I will be honest. I do have maybe two things on my wishlist but I am  in no hurry of getting them. I have gone through the phase of "omg I can't live without this" and hurrying to find something I can sell to fund this other purchase. I think it is all part of "growing up" as if I need more of that at my age lol.
No matter what happened in 2013, the new year is upon us. Laugh more, enjoy life and embrace what you have. Treasure the little things around you. I hope to have many more posts to share with you all :)

I normally leave a quote at the end of every post, but I spotted this quote on the wall of the building I am standing in front. I will let the wall do the talking this time. Thanks so much for reading. Let's look forward to another fulfill year in 2014!

MIA

So I have been Missing In Action (MIA) in the past week. I have two perfectly good reasons though.... 1. I have been sick (caught a bad cold and still am recovering), 2. I have been out of town participating the annual Nationals Table Tennis tournament in Las Vegas. I play competitive table-tennis and have been passionate about the sport for the past few years. My goal is to improve, stay active and learn about the game as much as I can. It must have been the combination of travel, training and stress that got me sick in the first place. Good news is that I am recovering and my ASOS faux fur coat arrived just in time on my arrival home.
Excuse for the my extra pale face. We tried to get out at the right time to catch the right light during the day but with two people who are both recovering from the cold was somewhat difficult.

Winter bliss

Thank you so much for all of your warm birthday wishes last week. I had an amazing weekend. Spoiled on loads of good food and the best part was scoring this awesome faux fur jacket from no others than H&M. Long story short, the jacket was marked down from $69 to $35. When I went to pay for it, it then got dropped to $20 and then $14!! Ha, I think the fashion god was wishing me a happy birthday too!
Do you have a fashion bargain/find story? Please do share it with me! I hope you are all having a wonderful day. One and half week until Christmas :)

H&M faux fur coat (similar one here), Vince Camuto booties, houndtooth skort (from asia), Coach mini Tanner, Stella $ Dot Somervelle necklace (here) and Lindberg sunnies

Happy Birthday to me 2013

Baby, it's COLD here in Portland. This year I feel particular "casual" when it comes to my birthday. Work needs to have loads of updates and changes, we are training our butts off in preparation for our upcoming Nationals tournament in a week and we had just spent our holiday time in Asia.....
Nonetheless, my man and I still were adventurous enough to try out a new (to us) eatery today. We had a lovely brunch at Tasty n Alder. They have an eclectic choices of food. We had the yummiest radicchio salad with eggs and bacons and the spiciest Bloody Mary I have ever tasted haha.
The best of the day came when I wondered into a H&M and scored a flat lamb faux jacket for $14 (originally at $70). Yes, indeed, happy day for the birthday girl :)

H&M peacoat (old, under $25), Frey riding boots (best all leather boots, love this one), Balenciaga City bag in orange brulee,  dress and inifinity scarf are both from Asia (dress is an early BD pressie from mum, see Instagram pic here)
Thank you for sharing my birthday post with me! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Let's get festive

When the weather gets gloomy, when the holidays approach, all I want to wear is red! While I am lacking a red turtleneck sweater, I do think this pumpkin colour one goes pretty well with the theme. I also love the effect of it popping against the rest of the gray. I wrote about faux fur is something I love to wear in the winter, and this dress perfectly falls into this category as well. I have a few winter dresses which I will gradually show them to you.
I hope you are all having a wonderful day. I did a little bit of shopping yesterday (see my Instagram kiwifashionblog update). Share with me what have you bought so far?

Balenciaga Coquelitcot City bag, Keywear faux fur dress, Anna Sui stocking and Sam Edelman Petty booties and Lindberg sunnies.
Thank you very much for reading. I will talk to you real soon :)
