Papa Haydn lunch spot

One of my most favourite blogger friends Luxeseed as an awesome blog documenting her travel as well as some of the best food/resturants she has been all over the world. I have been a big fan of her blog for a long time and this week I thought I would write up a blog post about a loca foodl joint in Portland.
For those of you who did not know, I live in Portland, Oregon and we have some of the best local unique eats around town. Papa Haydn is one of my favourite joints located on the hip 23rd area (west side of town). I come here to enjoy the laid back atomosphere as well as their mouth watering desserts and yummy freshly prepared food. I have even ran into a celebrity Reggie Lee from the hit NBC show Grimm last summer.
My plum PS1 (I got my from Hgbagsonline) bag gladly accompanied me during lunch (dessert display behind me).
Local made bread roll and their signature garlic herbal butter spread (complimentary with meal)
My man ordered the classic hamburger....
....and I ordered the sausage risotto (creamy and delicious).
Come check out this spot if you ever visit Portland. We were too full afterwards so there was no room for dessert but if you have a sweet tooth, definitely spare some room for it. The selection if their cheesecake is amazing!
I hope you like my first attempt on my food experience. Maybe I will try doing this more often :)
p.s. thanks so much on your comforting words about my RIP laptop. A new one will be in real soon!

Classic combo-red and black

Happy Tuesday everyone. I had a bit of a computer problems over the weekend. Have you ever run into this scenario...the day before, everything was working fine and the next day when you turned on the laptop, error message and unfamiliar "warning" began to show up on your start up screen.....uh oh! Yap, that's what happened to me over the weekend. In a moment of panic I started searching for that "re-boot" function and doing whatever I could to fix it. Well, after a fruitless 30 minutes, I gave up. I have declared that I need a new laptop (given the fact the current one I have been using is almost six years old). RIP to my lappy....you have been good, until the last moment.

Balenciaga black leather moto jacket, Rag and bone coated skinny jeans, Iroo faux fur stole, Sam Edelman Petty boots and Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch.

Winter coat take 2

As promised I am showing you the second winter coat I recently bought (see my first purchase in this post). This one is from the good old Zara. I have been to Zara several times and never did I ever buy any clothing pieces except for some scarves. Leave it until their end of the year sale I spotted this cropped short coat. I instantly fell in love with the lolly candy like hues. You probably know me by now, I am a big sucker for bright colours especially orange and red. Short coats work much better for my petite frame. Honestly, long coats tend to swallow me whole. Besides, short coats are more versatile to pair with practically anything. Today I am pairing it with a simple black dress and basic black boots. I added a scarf underneath to add warmth as well as even more cheerful colour :)

Hope you like both of my coats as much as I do! Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for reading!

Zara Checked Duffle coat (on better sale here), Love Quotes scarf (exact same one on sale here), Ippolita smokey quartz earrings (beautiful clear ones here) and Balenciaga City Bag in anthracite

Orange Monday

Today I bring you the first of the two coats I recently scored on sale. What may seems like a surprise to you but I have never bought anything from J.Crew before. I know it is probably one of the most popular and well received American brands but being an "import" in this country, I finally decided to give it a go. I bought this coat during their online sale. What I love about J.Crew is they offer petite sizing for my 163 cm (5'4) figure. No longer do I have to worry about sleeves being too long! The material is amazing. The wool is soft to the touch and does not irritate the skin. One of the features I love is these beautiful ornate buttons! Uh oh, J.Crew, you now have a new stalker on your hand. :)

J. Crew majesty peacoat (turquoise petite size on sale here), Frye riding boots (love this one), Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini bag in plum (beautiful rose gold in hazelnut here)
Raw ruby ring from Delezhen (her Etsy shop here) and Baublebar midi ring (here)
I wish you a happy Monday and a wonderful rest of the week! Thanks so much for reading!

Bright colours for winter

Portland has one of the strangest weathers I have ever encountered. One minute it's sunny and warm and the next it's absolute pouring rain. We captured these pictures right before the rain started and thank god no one got rained on.  This season I have become very drawn to coats. Mind you with the unpredictable weather up here in the Northwest that may not seem like a good idea at first. However I found that if I planned it right (and with help with an umbrella), it seems to work out just fine.
I recently acquired two really beautiful coats which I would love to show you. I am currently waiting on the second one and as soon as it arrives I will definitely do a blog post about them. What is your obsession in fashion this season so far?

Mustard yellow short coat borrowed from mum, Levi's ID curve skinny jeans, Frye's riding boots, YSL Arty ring and Balenciaga City bag in Anthracite.
Have a wonderful rest of the week and thank you for reading :)

Red, tartan and a beanie

I have had this coat for the longest time. In fact, I have it for so long I don't remember if it is my or from my mum's closet. The best thing about this coat is that it is reversible. I like to wear the dark navy side on the outside when I am wearing something colourful but when I have all grey/black assemble I just turn it around. Sometimes a good classic and timeelss piece can carry you throughout the year not to mention keeping me warm in the winter :)

Current and Elliott jumper (still on sale here), 7 for all Mankind coated jeans (old, love this pair though), Vince Camuto booties (old, but thinking about this pair, thoughts?), Juicy Couture necklace, Rebecca Minkoff large Affair bag (in regular size here)  and Sama sunglassess
I recently scored this beautiful leather sleeved jumper from Shopbop. Love layering it with the plaid long shirt!
Have a great weekend everyone. Thanks so much for reading!

Black and wine

I decided to wear black and wine today. What I was really wanting to wear is this faux snake-skinned jacket I acquired while in Asia a couple of months ago. Luckily we got some sunshine today so I was able to wear this finally (it is more of an autumn/spring material). While the rest of the Americans are frozen (especially those in the mid west and east coast), us west coasters have been experiencing really mild winter. I am not complaining. Normally I dread January but so far I have been liking it.
How was your first week of the new year like? I have made a few goals for this year and I hope to at least achieve some (if not all) of them! Happy Monday everyone!
p.s. See my last post wearing the same faux leather skirt here!

Keywear jacket, ASOS faux leather pleated skirt (love this one on sale too), Vince Camuto booties (similar ones here on sale), Stella & Dot Somervell necklace and flower ring (wearing just one), Baublebar midi ring and Givenchy small Antigona bag with Samatha Thavasa bag charm.
I am obsessed with tiny rings recently! Baublebar has a lot of cute options!
