Going blue and minty green

I get loads of comments and questions from readers asking me "Exactly how many handbags do you own?" Sometimes specifically "How many Balenciaga bags do you own?". I think I give the impression that I own a lot of Balenciaga bags. Truth is, I own five. They are all in the same style, which is the City because I find this style works with me the best. Does the number five considered to be "alot"? Well, I guess it is all relative, isnt' it? I know many handbag lovers out there own way more than I do. I think the reason why it seems like I have alot of Balenciaga is because they are all in very different colours. Thus every time when I do carry one, it seems like a complete different bag again. Maybe this makes sense?
Anyhow, onto my non Balenciaga bags. My other favourite handbag brand is Rebecca Minkoff. I also own about five of them and I have been loving this brand for quite some times. I have always been a warm tone kind of person. I love red, pink, orange and yellow. So you rarely see me in blue or green. To kick off spring, I thought I would add one of the hottest colours this season: minty green. I scored this bag on Rebecca Minkoff website when they were having the Friends and Family sale. I had been eyeing this bag for a few months and finally took the plunge and bought it at a good price. I hope to start experimenting with the colour green. Do you have a favourite "fail-safe" colour you always go to? And if so, are you brave enough to step outside the box this season?

Hide it with a hat

I have been very fortunate to have "dead straight" hair naturally. I guess it is a blessing as well as a "curse" lol. I have gone through phases when I really wanted to put some curls in my hair in the past. I called that phase "Carrie Bradshaw" wanna be moment. I quickly realised that my hair is not built to have perms or curls in it. It is just too fine and not enough of it to pull off that look. Now I am living in peace with my straight hair. One of the best things about my fine straight hair is I hardly need to do much in the morning. A little dab of Agave oil and the end and my hair naturally just falls straight, sometimes even without a comb!
Back to topic. Today is a really flat hair day (aka bad hair day). To hide it all I decided to pull out my trusty hat for the photos. I am dressing super casual as we need to run a bunch of errands afterwards. I hope your day is going well! Thanks so much for reading and I will "speak" to you in my next blog post :)

Spring blooming

Spring on the west coast of America usually means abundance of cherry blossoms trees everywhere. Portland houses some of the most gorgeous cherry blossom trees I have seen. Since it is the very official beginning of spring, they have just starting to "pop", kind of like pop-corns! Today on our way out to lunch, we walked pass by a strips of cherry blossoms and I decided to walk right in it. I like to surround myself with these beautiful creations :)
You will probably not see me in true spring clothes for another month (or even two) just because it is still rather chilly outside. Believe me, I want to ditch my coats and jackets but my frozen hands would disagree with me! So be patient (talking to myself now)! It's just a matter of time!
I have been doing some online window shopping mostly searching for spring/summer appropriate accessories like bags and sandals. I already scored a couple of things recently so be on the look out for their reveals here on the blog! Happy spring <3

Unexpected rainfall

This is probably one of the most "ordinary" outfits that has been featured on this blog since the beginning. I had no intention for taking any blog photos today since we were just running a few quick errands around the 23rd area in Portland this morning. As we were passing by the neighbourhood we discovered this beautiful historic home nearby. What a hidden gem! It has beautiful front stairs, porch (with the cutest doggie lounging on it) and a gorgeous double door. Unfortunately it began to pour, better yet, it started to hail! It was painful to stand in the rain to snap some REALLY fast pictures with me screaming "oh my god my bag is getting wet" (I am way too weird I know!).
So, please excuse the poor quality of these photos. I thought about not posting them at all but then I thought why not? It is my blog and I am no model so why would my readers care if I all of a sudden still don't look like one? lol
One thing for sure, I will be back to this beautiful historic home when the weather is nicer. I really want to show you how uniquely built it is!

Laid back Friday

One of my favourite places to take pictures in Portland is against the brick wall in downtown. If you have been reading my blog, you already know brick agrees with most of the colours in my wardrobe as well as handbags. I have light coloured skin and the fact that I do not wear make up makes me needing colours either on or around) me. In addition to the weekend ahead, I am happy to inform you that spring has shown it's beautiful face in the past two days here in Portland. I have been wearing "only" light jackets, thinner tights and I could not be happier :)
p.s. I had some touch up done on my hair and cut off at least 6 cm off (2 inches?). With my super fine hair now it looks alot healthier with an even end, what do you think?

I will be playing another table-tennis tournament this weekend. Wish me luck :)

Iroo pale yellow jacket (last seen here), Red cardigan by Fashion Show (last seen here), Forever 21 skirt (old), Aso tight, Dolce Vita flats, Balenciaga City bag, Stella and Dot Somervile necklace (here).

Black swan

First of all I want to point out that I am not at all satisfied with the quality of these photos at all. The weather and the lighting are both just against me today. It is so grey and cloudy and with the constant glare from the rain off the ground, it is merely impossible to shoot. I will leave it like that. It was after I threw this outfit on then realised I am head to toe black. I was forced (by the photographer man) to switch my top into something non black (or grey) before leaving the door.
On the brighter notes, I have my hair appointment tomorrow AND I received this second beautiful Stella and Dot pendent recently. The colours just make me happ(ier).
I am absolutely swamped at work today so I will leave this post short (and not necessary sweet lol). Have a great rest of the week!

Is it spring yet?

If this is the beginning of spring, then I am not impressed. Last night the wind was so strong I thought for sure our power was going to go out. Then it came the rain, POURING rain. The only thing that I am somewhat okay with is the slightly less cold temperature. I had originally put on a darker coloured coat but decided to switch to my favourite mustard yellow short coat. I did not notice I actually colour coordinated today with my skort and boots. I guess I have a thing for yellow tone today :)
What is your early spring or end f summer weather like on your side of the world? I hope it is better than what I am experiencing here.
p.s. I am back to the statement necklace phase again. I recently got two lovely pieces and I am in love with them <3
Levi's stripped top T, moustartd short coat from mum, Aso tight,Vince Camuto booties (similar ones on sale here), Coach mini Tanner bag (similar style also in saffiano here)
Have a lovely rest of the week. Yay for soon weekend :)
